Network Admin

SHC Federal is looking for a skilled and experienced Senior Network Administrator to join our team. In this role, you'll be responsible for analyzing, troubleshooting, and maintaining complex network infrastructures, ensuring optimal performance and security. Basic Qualifications:

• 9+ years network analysis/resolution (hardware, circuit, transmission).
• Active DoD Secret clearance.
• Active CompTIA Security+ or CCNP Security.
• Active CCNA Certification.
• 8+ years senior LAN switching experience (VLANs, VTP, Port Security, Spanning Tree, L2/L3 configs).
• 8+ years senior Layer 3 routing experience (EIGRP, OSPF, IS-IS).
• 8+ years senior L1/L2 network troubleshooting (Unclassified/Classified).
• Experience with encryption device programming/maintenance/troubleshooting (GEM-X or DoD tools).
• Experience with DoD COMSEC management.
• Experience with DoD network/application security hardening.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Cisco Client and Cisco DNA.
• Experience working at Pentagon, JBA, and/or JBAB.
• Knowledge of Air Force, Pentagon, and/or AFNCR.

Essential Job Functions:

• Monitor network systems for issues/alarms.
• Identify and resolve issues; escalate as needed.
• Troubleshoot using scripts/procedures; escalate as needed.
• Initiate resolution for enterprise routers/switches.
• Interface with vendors for outages/performance issues.
• Process Authorized Service Interruptions (ASIs).
• Maintain network equipment security posture (updates, STIGs, IOS upgrades).
• Support special projects and daily operations.
• Support on-call rotation.
